Thin is a word that every woman wants to hear, except when someone is describing her hair. When a woman loses her crowning glory there is no opportunity to feel like a "sexy" bald male, which is a very acceptable alternative, for todays hair challenged males. When it happened to me, I immediately looked for alternatives.

            First I explored options with a dermatologist who specialized in hair loss. After months of trying Rogaine, I became tired of seeing no results and having hair consistency that reminded me of an oil slick. My next solution was to order a custom made hair piece that allowed me to pull my own hair through so it would look natural. A thousand dollars later I discovered two things: one that I couldn't make it look like the hair technician did and two I would surely lose any remaining hair by continually pulling it through the wire mesh!  Then came the spray on products that resulted in a scalp that looked like it had been painted with shoe polish and a new phobia that had no name- fear of rain. What would I do if I was out in public and streams of the "shoe polish" like product came washing down my face? A hair stylist told me that she used powdered eye shadow on her mom who was "losing it".  That sparked my interest but I envisioned having to by carloads of the stuff if I was really going to have good coverage.

            Enter Derm Match. My current hair stylist, Lillian Rose was given a sample at an International Beauty Show and she said "Let's give it a try".
